Words from Guidance for You
Words from Guidance for You
The requests for donations pour in this time of year from the many agencies and others that need public support to maintain services. The phone rings, letters are received, and pleas are heard on the TV and other screens. How is one to decide whether to give money to feed the hungry children in a far away country, or help the disabled, or the wounded vets, or the drug addicted, or the homeless? The needs are many and the incessant call for help causes us to want to cover our ears.
What is one to do in such a situation? We want to help our fellow people here in this country and around the globe, but our resources are limited. We also question how directly our resources will go to the truly needy and not to feather the nest of the ‘higher ups.’ Spiritual guidance can help in this sorting out and I am here to guide you directly.
I want to tell you that ‘the time for giving’ is truly the time when your heart and mind are so moved. It may not be around Thanksgiving or Christmas that you feel the call to give. The call to give may be very close to home. It may be a family member or a neighbor that is in need. It may be a young adult who is trying to make it in a world where jobs are harder to get and when costs of living are high. It may be an elderly parent or relative who is in great need at this time of life.
Those who need your help will touch your heart in some way. It will be an awareness that here is a place and a person who could really benefit from your gift. It may be that this organization or this person is putting out a message that you believe in at the deepest levels — one that will benefit profoundly, the many, there. We are not talking about surface emotions of empathy, but what we feel deeply, as true. These ones may not even have asked for help, yet you sense, at the heart level, this is where help is surely needed, surely deserving.
The time to be open to giving is always. Listen for the ring of clarity in your heart. Listen for the Voice for Truth, and freely act on what you hear. Remember that to give to one, is to give to the all. I said, so long ago,”If you have seen Me, you have seen the Father.” I say now, “If you have given to the least of them, or to those who touch your heart, you have given to Me, to Source, to the Oneness.” Money is not the only gift, for time, attention, loving caring, and genuine help are tremendous gifts, also.
In closing this day, I gift you with my relationship, always. I am here for you and I have ‘giving love’ as my mission assigned to and for you. I love you dearly, and know that you are never alone.
A time for giving...
