Always We Are One

They say the path is narrow,

That leads you back to home, 

That there are many hardships,

Encountered, as you roam.

It depends on whom you follow,

If these words are true, 

If you go it all alone, 

Or if I come with you. 

The solitary journey, 

When ego has its say,

Will take you on divergent paths,

You’ll end up lost someday.

Lost and stalled and lonely, 

Confused, filled with despair, 

Stuck on ego’s roadway, 

Has led you to nowhere! 

If we walk together, 

Our destiny is clear, 

Following the light of love, 

God’s meaning’s ours, my dear. 

Hardships will be dealt with, 

Love will right what’s wrong, 

Together we’ll sing happily, 

A joyous Oneness song! 

So find your peace and ask Me in, 

To join and walk with you,

Love will fill our hearts, dear,

As home comes into view. 

The end’s but the beginning, 

For life, it’s never done, 

Together, in joy, forever,

Always, we are One!
