The Greatest Gift

I thank you, Lord, for the greatest gift,

That fills my life each day,

Simple, yet so meaningful, 

Your friendship leads the way.

Your friendship, ever-present, 

Your love entwined with me, 

Your constant gentle presence,

No greater gift could be! 

Together, we’re at peace, Lord, 

A calm and happy state, 

As One, we move together,

As lovers, we relate.

Decisions are made together,

Even the smallest choice,

Transcendency is brought to bear,  

As love comes through your Voice. 

The first thing in the morning,

The last, at end of day,  

I thank you for your Presence, 

For living life God’s way. 

Without you I’d be lost, Lord,

Like a ship at sea,

Tossed about and drifting,

No harbor there for me.  

How wonderful to know, Lord,

I travel not alone, 

You are with me always, 

The beat friend ever known! 

Loved one, let Me use this verse,

To respond to what’s so true, 

Priceless is our friendship, 

I, too, find joy in you!

Each one who seeks My Presence,

I’m there, with gifts to give,

Find peace, then ask Me in, dear, 

In love, as One, we’ll live!
