You’ll Never Walk Alone

You read the obituaries,

Death notices you review,

To see if anyone has left,

Someone that you knew.

You realize you’re at the age,

When many pass away,

You know that everyone must go,

Your turn will come someday.

You don’t want to be morbid,

Nor just focus on the end,

But preparation for departing,

Helps loved ones there, My friend.

Now you’ll feel sweet peace, dear,

A full and grateful heart,

For all that you’ve been given,

You’re ready to depart.

Remember, life’s not over,

Spiritual home’s so real,

Many there to greet you,

Great love from them, you’ll feel.

You’ve given of yourself, dear,

You’ve experienced lessons, there,

You’ve been a joy to others,

Some pain you’ve had to bear.

Still some time on earth, dear,

It may even be some years,

Stay listening to My Voice, there,

Don’t shed those ‘good-bye’ tears.

I’ll tell you when the time is near,

It won’t be a surprise,

You’ll be fully ready,

To gently close your eyes.

I am always with you,

You’ll never walk alone,

Hand in hand together,

Our love, so deeply known!
