From Awakening to Oneness

DIVINE SEED 

There exists within each human being something that has as its function the unfolding of life in a never ending continuum of movement. Within each one this movement brings to that individual an unending unfoldment, ever revealing divineness and ever unfolding the unique attributes which are inherent in that one. 

Unbeknownst to man and womankind, the Father has placed His eternal seed deep within. A seed has all that it is and all that it will be within it, and yet the seed must go through the process of germination, sprouting and growing before its full abundance is realized. The seed cannot bear its fruit or give its gift until it develops that which it has within. 

A seed will not give its gift if it does not have the right conditions in which it can grow. Given what it needs however, it will grow, blossom, and bear fruit giving of itself to others. 

Let us look at the seed that the Father has placed in each of you. Can you imagine a seed that has as its DNA,  All That Is? For that is truly what you have as the core of whom you are. What do these words mean, you undoubtedly are asking. I want to tell you a story that will explain what these words mean and will help you better understand how you can provide your divine seed with what it needs to grow. 

Our story begins in a far off place where there are many people living side by side in a congested city. The place we are talking about is found in India and the city is New Delhi. In this city millions of people exist, side by side in poverty. Many of them live in shanty type dwellings without running water and without sanitary conditions. 

These people have little in the way of material possessions often only wearing the clothes they own on their backs. These people, however, have a deep belief in the core or seed within that we are interested in discovering more about. Because of this most Indians do not feel unhappy or discontent. Rather they see themselves as ever unfolding the ‘more’ of them that there is to be experienced. 

They believe that this holy aspect of themselves is shedding more and more light as each day, each year, each lifetime is lived. Poverty then is only a temporary state that will abate itself now or in the time to come. 

I want to speak to you of one small Indian boy who we shall call Rama. Rama lived a life like many Indian children but Rama had something which others did not have. Rama had the knowledge that he was destined to become the Godhead for the people. Rama carried this around with him as he lived his daily life and wondered how this would ever come to be known. Rama did not imagine that he could actually be the one who would be worshipped by all those he saw around him. 

One day when Rama went to the fields and to the forest to gather wild plants he met an old man who told him that his life had been sent to mankind to lead them to redemption. The old man told Rama that his answers to how he would be the Savior could be found within. 

Many days and many night passed and Rama asked his inward self how his life would ever be one in which people would find worthy of worshipping. Rama questioned his worthiness and often felt that there must have been a mistake. He could not imagine a life in which every thing that he did would be holy. 

Then one day something happened to Rama. He felt the presence of Holiness within and knew that what he had been foretold was true. Rama rejoiced with awe and humility and felt that the Creator had not made a mistake after all. Soon Rama realized that he needed to tell the people about what had happened to him. But he questioned how he could tell the people this without having them think he was insane. Rama decided to return to the old man for advice. The old man told him that he would not need to say anything to the people but that all he needed to do was to live his life from that place of Holiness within. Rama soon discovered that everything he did was touched by God. There was no area in his life that he did not feel the Divine Presence. And much to his surprise, others noticed it, too. All that Rama said and did had one divine quality shining through. All that Rama did showed love. 

A small boy discovers Divine Presence within and becomes a God to his people. The boy listens and acts from this Presence within which brings into the world Infinite Love. What was it that caused the Presence to bring forth that which fulfilled Rama’s destiny? It was Rama listening and acting on what he felt and heard. So it is with the seed of God within each of us. We must listen and then follow the guidance that we hear in order for that seed Presence to grow. 

We now are becoming aware that we are all like Rama in that we all have divinity as our birthright. And so it is time to let the seed grow as we listen and follow that which is love. As the seed expands we will become aware that All That Is, our birthright, is the Infinitude of the Father unfolding in and through us and as us. 

Divinity Unfolding

Divinity unfolding, 

That’s who and what you are,

You’re living love so perfect, 

You are God’s shining star.

You say, “I’m just a human, 

A sinner through and through, 

Guilty of all kinds of sins, 

Divine? It can’t be true. “

I tell you you’re divine dear,

God’s love’s what you’re made of, 

The substance of creation,

The divinity of love.

Let go of false beliefs, dear, 

That you’re dung thrown on a heap, 

A mass of guilty flesh there, 

Unclean, not fit to keep.

You beg for God’s forgiveness, 

“Please God, my sins erase,

Free me from unrighteousness,

Cleanse me by your grace.”

Your sins came forth from ego, 

A faulty point of view, 

Dismiss this false intruder, 

‘Tis just defenses spew.

Just claim your true inheritance, 

God’s love through Transcendent Mind, 

‘Tis yours as gift forever, 

Your divinity you’ll find. 

I claim you as My Own, dear, 

Intertwined inseparably,

In humble joy together, 

As One Divinity.
