In Mystical Majesty

Before I really knew you, Lord,

I wandered here, alone, 

No compass, no companion,

Adrift and tossed, wind-blown. 

I went through all the motions,

Appeared as nothing wrong,

Yet inwardly I ached, Lord, 

No where did I belong. 

I hungered for real meaning,

To feel at peace, secure, 

To move with deep assurance, 

Do more than just endure. 

I searched with great intention, 

Books, classes, I went through, 

Speakers, websites, anywhere,

My searching brought me to. 

Then you came to me, Lord,

In mystical majesty, 

In myriad ways you showed me,

I was meant to live with Thee.  

How rapturous the moments, 

When living love came through,

And there I saw God’s meaning, 

Joined in love with You!

Now secure I feel and loved, Lord,

I know where I belong, 

Joined within with You, Lord, 

I sing salvation’s song! 

Now I feel well-grounded, 

True sanity I know,

I’m One with All That Is, Lord, 

Love fills me with its glow. 

I’m witnessing now to you, there,

The reader’s of this poem,

Jesus is the answer,

With Him you are at home! 

A solid firm foundation, 

True sanity you’ll find, 

Join Him who waits your calling, 

In peace, in your right Mind. 

Just ask, there’s no condition,

Just come right as you are,

His arms are open wide, dear,

You are God’s shining star!
