Love Yourself As I Do

I see the ego whispering,

Critical its view,

Saying, ‘You’re a ‘has been,

Youth’s run away from you.’

It says, ‘Rev up your dieting,

Exercise each day,

Don’t accept your aging,

Melt that fat away!’

So Lord, here’s the dilemma,

As I join with you, 

What is your perspective, 

What would you have me do? 

Dear one, let Me tell you,

The ego’s words — a ruse!

Deception is its defense, 

A system of abuse.

It seeks to undermine your peace, 

It plays the culture’s game, 

Says you’re a weak-willed entity,

Say’s guilty! You’re to blame! 

What I see is vastly different, 

I see One Bound with Me, 

You’re living love made manifest, 

You’re perfect, whole, and free!

As you embrace your truth, dear,

Healing love makes new,

The idea held in Creator’s mind, 

Right there, dear, it is you!

So judge not nor compare not, 

See All as God would see,

Created in His image,

All perfect, whole, and free!

Love yourself, as I do,

I’m with you everyday,

I’ll guide you in your living,

Together, all the way!
