Peace or Passion?

Is peace better than passion? 

Can the two exist as one?

Peace seems cool, like  air flow,

Passion’s like the sun.

Must there be a tradeoff?

Can these extreme’s relate?

Wanting both together,

Can peace and passion mate?

A question to ask guidance,

Lord, would you make this clear?

With further understanding,

Your answer’s needed here!  

Peace is in that clear space,

Where the Voice for Truth comes through,

Passion fills your heart, dear,

When love enlightens you. 

So yes, these two are partners,

Passion’s best when peace is there, 

Passion’s fire would soon burn out,

Without peace and its fresh air. 

This means the Voice for Truth and Love,

Are inextricably intertwined,

God’s peace and passion there as One, 

Within yourself, you’ll find. 

One without the other,

An impossibility!

Peace and passion intertwined—

Just like you and Me!
