A Fresh New Start

Soon you’ll be recovered,

From illness’s grip, its hold,

Rising, like the Phoenix,

From the ashes of the old. 

Renewed, rekindled light you’ll be,

Soon you’ll be shining bright, 

To live as God would have you, 

In solidarity, we unite. 

Hardship, like all life’s lessons,

Teaches you to see, 

To appreciate and offer thanks, 

For relationship’s constancy. 

For in our constant joining, 

The suffering, you could bear,

Held safe in Love’s protective arms,

Babe-like, you’re swaddled, there.

The light at the end of the tunnel,

We’ll soon be there, my dear, 

The worst of it is over, 

Soon, you’re in the clear!

Your family cares about you, 

They’ve not abandoned you, 

They’ve shown love and affection, 

They’ve helped to see you through. 

Life’s a place for learning, 

Don’t fear this University,

Let it strengthen your conviction,

Alone, you’ll never be. 

The greatest lesson it will teach,

You’re One with God, it’s true, 

Love, is your very meaning, 

Transforming, ever new! 

So as this day progresses,

Let’s live as One, my dear,

Rested, ready, and revived,

A fresh new start is here!
