Mountaintop Experience

The scribe, moved by Martin Luther King, Jr.’s Mountaintop Experience speech, given a day before he was assassinated in Memphis, has asked Me if she should write  another message for this day.  I have agreed, for it is truly a day to remember what this great man has given to the people of the world. He understood the necessity for freedom for all, the necessity of equality for all, and most importantly, the power of living love inherent in each one, which is the meaning God has for His children, His Own. In the world of today, his words ring even more deeply true in our hearts and minds. 

Let this day of remembrance be also a day of renewal of what he told us, and of what he gave his life for—freedom and equality for all, non-violent protests against injustice, and reawakening to the power of living love within each and everyone. We need not, ourselves, be enslaved to a culture that keeps us tethered to materialism and money, media and manipulation by those who have greed and self interest as uppermost at the expense of others. Let us reawaken to the knowing mindset that emanates from our Creator/Sustainer and which we can turn to within as we find peace and use our own free will to allow for Transcendence, God’s will, to come forth. 

Here is the true mountaintop experience of which Martin Luther King,  Jr.  spoke of, although he didn’t use these words specifically. He spoke from the Mindset of Connection to Me,  and fully opened to the fountain of living love within.  Let us, too, like him, let the power of living love transform our lives in the way God would have them be transformed! A Mountaintop Experience

Let’s climb the heights together,

And as we move, ascend, 

God’s vista’s there before us, 

Its beauty does not end.

Holding hands together, 

For if we take a fall, 

Jointly we’ll get up again,

No problem there at all. 

Each step is filled with wonder,

We see the mountain peak,

A final destination, 

Its glory, there, we seek. 

With you, Lord, I’m already there, 

I’m at the mountaintop,

Such glory in our union, 

With you, the joy’s nonstop! 

With you, my peace, unending, 

Fulfilled, in ecstasy, 

My mountaintop experience, 

Exists because of Thee.

My heart so full of love, Lord,

Gratitude so huge,

You bathe me in your warmth, Lord, 

My tears of joy, deluge!

You, too, can climb with Me, there, 

Reader, I’m there in Mind, 

Our mountaintop experience,

Is there for you to find! 

Joined, we reach the heights each day, 

Through Transcendent Mind we live,  

Here God’s Will, His loving light, 

Shows us how to give. 

Giving love to others, 

Including all as One, 

Moves us ever onward,

It’s how God’s Will is done. 

In closing let Me share again. 

The truth so now well known, 

I am with you always, 

You are not alone.
