First This

First this in the morning, 

And then throughout the day, 

Remember we’re together,

Living life God’s way. 

The news, the propaganda,

Put forth upon your screen,

Calls out for your attention, 

 Oft’ blatantly obscene. 

Your ego mind will tell you, 

Stay in touch, I’m you,

Don’t listen to that Jesus, 

His voice is what’s untrue. 

Cunningly, it spins, there, 

Sophisticated lies, 

Deceptively it bargains,

‘Come on, let’s compromise.’

Remember it’s not real, there, 

Defensively it plays, 

Fed on fear, ‘twill tear apart,

Any righteous ways.

Dismiss this mind of ego, 

It’s not who you really are, 

Remember dear, we’re joined as One,

You are God’s Shining Star. 

The ego spin’s not real, dear, 

Ignored, it goes away, 

Like ice when hit with sunshine, 

It’s gone, it melts away. 

The truth of you is this, dear, 

You issue forth from Source, 

As One with your Creator,

You are His Loving Force. 

First this, when eyes are open, 

Join, in peace, with Me.    

Transcendent Mind will lead us, 

Where God would have us be! 

In closing, I would say again,

First this, My promise, true, 

Always I am there within, 

Always loving you!
